Adapt: Eddie Redmayne seemed excited to watch a ballet interpretation of the classic novel

It is currently one of the most talked about novels around due to Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan's starring roles in Baz Lurhmann’s latest film.

But on Tuesday evening a host of British stars attended a very different adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby – a ballet.

Showing their support, Eddie Redmayne and Laura Carmichael lead the way on the red carpet to watch the classic novel be brought to life on stage by Northern Ballet, ahead of the film version opening the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday evening.
